Mateo finds a mysterious hourglass on his way to school that leads him and his sister Izzie into the fantastical dream world, where imagination is their superpower. But they soon discover the dream world is under attack by the tyrannical Nightmare King, and every dream creature, dream Realm, and dreaming kid there is in danger until Mateo, Izzie, and their schoolmates Cooper, Logan and Zoey can figure out a way to defeat him.
